Our kombucha is from the tea that is brewed using leaves imported from the foothills of Himalayas. The musty and gentle flavors of Assam tea are preserved throughout the process (while extracting the best antioxidants from it). We keep it simple, the initial brew is just three ingredients Tea, Sugar and SCOBY….. really that simple.
If you are wondering what SCOBY is, It stands for Symbiotic Colony (or Culture) of Bacteria and Yeast. “Symbiotic” means that the bacteria and yeast strains live together in a complex, mutually supportive community, supporting and depending on each other. The SCOBY is sometimes called the mushroom because it resembles the smooth, thick body in the shape of a mushroom.
